My approach to treatment is focused on the development of a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship. One where you can feel open to share and explore aspects of your life without the fear of judgment or repercussion. It is within this relationship that we will collaboratively explore your experiences, and challenge ideas and coping strategies that are attributing to your current distress. Along the way, you will gain insight into the root causes of distress while simultaneously learning the skills to cope.
The primary goal of treatment is to develop an understanding of root causes of the problem. Then work to resolve the causes while simultaneously working to reduce distress from the immediate symptoms.
